Over 20 years of war has destroyed Afghanistan and its social and economic fabric. In spite of ever-present tension, it has been the women –always discriminated against – who have the possibility today to take on new tasks and expand their field of activity to participate in the reconstruction of their Country. Pangea works with the poorest: widows, orphans, the disabled, and mothers of families. To guarantee a peaceful future, Pangea wants to support small domestic economies and improve human rights and opportunities.
